Steps to reduce Jet lag

Few are lucky not to be affected by Jet lag but most of us do suffer from it. Avoiding Jet lag is not very hard, infact it is very simple and few of the simple steps to reduce Jet lag are:

1. Pre-flight activites

Make sure everything is in order and in normal conditions. Do not make yourself stressed out. Get plenty of exercise and avoid sickness like flu.

2. Drink lot of water

Keeping yourself hydrated is most important. The humidity in the aircraft hovers around 15%.Compare that with the humidity in the world’s driest place, the Atacama Desert, where it hovers around 16%.

3. Reset your internal clock.

The moment the flight attendants announce the time in your new destination, set your watch. This makes it easier to force yourself to stay awake if you’re arriving in the evening or to catch a nap if you’re arriving in the morning.

4. Take a nap before you leave

Try to sleep well and avoid sleeping too much or too less on the flight.

5. Eat carefully

Pressurized cabins can have odd effects on your gastro intestinal system.

6. Keep moving

Blood clots are a serious health threat on long flights. Force yourself to get up and move around the cabin on a regular basis. Flex your legs and rotate your ankles while you’re seated. Do knee bends and spend layovers walking through the airport.

7. Warm up.

Elevating your temperature can help reset your circadian rhythms (day/night cycles). Exercising, grabbing a sauna or relaxing in a warm bath helps that process.

Che Guevara

We might have seen this person in the pic many times and wonder who he is?

He is Ernesto Guevara de la Serna (June 14, 1928 – October 9, 1967), commonly known as Che Guevara, El Che or just Che was an Argentine-born Marxist revolutionary, political figure, and leader of Cuban and internationalist guerrillas.

As a young man studying medicine, Guevara travelled rough throughout South America, bringing him into direct contact with the impoverished conditions in which many people lived. His experiences and observations during these trips led him to the conclusion that the region's socio-economic inequalities could only be remedied by socialism through revolution, prompting him to intensify his study of Marxism and travel to Guatemala to learn about the reforms being implemented there by President Jacobo Arbenz Guzmán.

While in Mexico in 1956, Guevara joined Fidel Castro's revolutionary 26th of July Movement, which seized power from the regime of the dictator General Fulgencio Batista in Cuba in 1959. In the months after the success of the revolution, Guevara was assigned the role of "supreme prosecutor", overseeing the public show trials and executions of hundreds of military and civilian leaders associated with the previous regime. After serving in various important posts in the new government and writing a number of articles and books on the theory and practice of guerrilla warfare, Guevara left Cuba in 1965 with the intention of fomenting revolutions first in Congo-Kinshasa, and then in Bolivia, where he was captured in a military operation supported by the CIA and the U.S. Army Special Forces.Guevara was summarily executed by the Bolivian Army in the town of La Higuera near Vallegrande on October 9, 1967.

After his death, Guevara became an icon of socialist revolutionary movements and a cultural icon worldwide. An Alberto Korda photo of him has received wide distribution and modification, appearing on t-shirts, protest banners, and in many other formats. The Maryland Institute College of Art called this picture "the most famous photograph in the world and a symbol of the 20th century."

How about day & night Test match?

To meet the global audiences demands and interests, cricket is being modified and Twenty20 is the best example for it.

Now cricket Austalia is all set to revolutionize test cricket making it day and night.Cricket Australia chief executive James Sutherland said,"we can have few trail day and night test cricket and maybe before the end of the decade".

Many of the cricket lovers may be dissapointed with this idea which looses the 130 year old legacy but administrators hope it may tap the needs of the growing audiences.

The matches can be scheduled in between 2pm-9pm or 3pm-10pm which may entertain many audiences to watch it on tv too. This will definitely help many cricket lovers throughout the planet watching on TV.

But there is a catch. The ball which can be seen in the night and which can endure for long time is the biggest problem, says one of the officials.

Dus kahaniyan

Experimental and something new in the Indian cinema. Ten stories in one movie. Each story lasts for about ten minutes. The movie boasts of six directors, ten stories and one cineamtic journey.

Sounds exciting but the movie fails to impress on the whole. The best among the lot comes at the last. The last 3 stories stand out and makes us appreciate few things, the 3 stories include - (Shabana Azmi and Naseerudin Shah's - Rice plate,Nana patekar's - Gubbare,Sanjay dutt and Sunil Shetty's - Rise and fall).

Dus kahaniyan is worth a watch for these three stories.

Hyundai i10 has the edge over others

The new and fresh i10 has definitely made news since it's arrival. It's manufacturers were so confident of it being hit in India that they launched i10 first in India, world preimere, as they put it.

i10 was recently voted best among its competeters - Chevy's Spark and Maruti's Zen Estilo in the compact car segment by NDTV's Car and Bike show and rated 9 out of 10 in theindiastreet.com.

Hyundai came up with power blended with performance and named it i10. Though it comes out with a heavy price tag when compared to others, it certainly stands out in many areas.
